Warm Space Hub Volunteer

We are looking for volunteers to support the running of the Warm Space Hub sessions.

You will help create a welcoming, heated space where community members can drop in for warmth, hot drinks, and friendly company during the colder months.

Roles include:

• Session Volunteer – greet visitors, prepare and serve hot drinks, maintain a friendly atmosphere, set up and tidy the space.
• Support Lead – oversee sessions, guide other volunteers, and ensure smooth running including support with the above.
• Standby Volunteer – provide extra support to cover sessions when needed at short notice.

The hub launches in January 2026 at Aldingbourne Community Sports Centre.

Volunteers will be part of a caring team making a real difference locally!

What skills do I need?

• Friendliness and communication – welcoming visitors and creating a positive atmosphere.
• Teamwork – working alongside other volunteers and supporting each other.
• Organisation – helping prepare the space, serve refreshments, and tidy up.
• Reliability – committing to regular or occasional sessions and being available when needed.

Commitment options: Weekly, fortnightly, or monthly. Session times: Tuesdays: 10am–1pm Thursdays: 12pm–3pm Choose the frequency that suits you. Standby volunteers may be contacted for short-notice support. Should you availability outside of these shifts, please do contact us as these sessions may increase, plus additional opportunities to be added.
