Volunteer Hydrotherapy Pool Safety Assistant

Swimming sessions are available to families on Saturday afternoons at Chestnut Tree House. These sessions allow families to enjoy time altogether in a safe & fully adapted environment.

You will be supporting families, helping to set up equipment needed and making everyone feel welcome.

The role requires training in pool safety so if there are any problems you can act accordingly alongside qualified staff.

Our special children and young people are so often unable to access public swimming pools but with your help they can enjoy time with their families having fun and making memories.

Please note a car is required to access Chestnut Tree House due to its location.

Please note this role is to start in the spring when additional training will be required.

Please note you must be over 18 to apply for this role.

What skills do I need?

• Confident around water
• Physically fit for this active role - the pool is heated to 28 degrees
• Good under pressure or in an emergency
• Understand the importance of confidentiality and boundaries
• Able to accept people as individuals and respect their differences
