Trustee

The Shannon Moore Trauma Trust

Following a one-year delivery review, The Trust is now looking to increase the numbers of and broaden the voices and experience of those who make up the Board of Trustees.

  • Do you have an interest in supporting others to access healing through therapy?
  • Do you have around 2 hours per month to commit to the running of SMTT?
  • Can you sit on the Grants Panel, which meets every four months alongside working with other Trustees to develop and sustain the work of the Charity
  • Can you be available for Trustee meetings online every three months for around two hours, with the aim for a once a year in person meeting in West Sussex?
  • Do you have financial skills and experience and/or an interest in figures? You do not have to be an accountant, but we are particularly looking to recruit a Trustee for the post of Treasurer within the Charity.
  • Do you have experience of applying for funding for charities?
  • Can you bring a living experience voice about mental health and trauma to the Trustees’ conversations?
  • Can you help us be more inclusive of the voices from underrepresented racial and cultural communities?

If you are interested in becoming a Trustee for the SMTT, please apply. We will get back with the application form and some more information about the role. All completed application forms should be returned by Monday 1st June 2026. We are looking to recruit at least two new Trustees to join the existing Board of 6
