Sanctuary in Chichester provides practical, social and pastoral support for refugees and asylum seekers in the Chichester and Bognor Regis area.

The charity has a board of 10 volunteer trustees who collectively provide the governance and strategic direction required.

Each trustee also has their own specialism and this current vacancy is for a new trustee who can specialise in Safeguarding

What skills do I need?

Knowledge and previous experience gained from working in a Safeguarding environment/organisation at middle/senior leadership level with the ability to provide strategic oversight as a board trustee and when required provide challenge/guidance and advice to the charity manager (DSL)
