Petworth Community Organic Garden

Help grow a greener, healthier community!

The Community Wellbeing Garden is seeking two new Trustees to join our Board and help guide the next stage of our development.

Our garden provides a welcoming, inclusive space that supports mental health, physical wellbeing, learning, and community connection through nature.

Our mission is to promote wellbeing, inclusion and skill development and support those living in economic hardship in Petworth and West Sussex through the therapeutic horticulture, rural crafts and eco-friendly practices, fostering community integration and environmental stewardship.

What skills do I need?

  • Financial expertise (e.g. budgeting, financial oversight, accountancy, or charity finance)
  • Fundraising and income generation (e.g. grant applications, donor engagement, partnerships, or community fundraising)
  • Corporate Sponsorship and Philanthropy
  • Horticultural knowledge (e.g. gardening, food growing, cooking, landscape management, or environmental sustainability).

You do not need previous trustee experience—training and support will be provided.

Lived experience of community projects or a strong commitment to wellbeing, inclusion, and green spaces is highly valued.
