Sighted Guide Volunteer Driver & Walker Bognor Regis (Stroller Group)

The purpose of this role is to be a sighted guide volunteer for visually impaired walkers on a group walk, enabling enjoyment of the outdoors and access to exercise which can help to reduce stress and increase wellbeing and prevent social isolation. Stroller Walks will take place on the 2nd Wednesday of the month followed by refreshments in Hotham Park Cafe.

What skills do I need?

• Must be generally fit and active and able to walk approximately 4 miles.
• Have the passion to make a positive difference to people with sight loss.
• Must have good communication skills.
• Friendly person with the ability to work with vulnerable people is essential.
• Able to work under direction.
• Must follow all policies and procedures as implemented within the organisation having due regard to confidentiality. 

When do I need to be available?

Details

Once a month on a Wednesday 10am - 12pm approximately. Stroller Walks will take place on the 2nd Wednesday of the month
