Office coordinator

We are looking to recruit extra volunteers to arrange drivers to take patients to medical appointments.

This involves taking messages from patients about their needs, finding a suitable driver available for that drive and linking the two together.

You will have all the information about drivers' potential availability but will need patience if they don't answer your call.

Our office within Willow Green Surgery in East Preston is fairly self-contained and there is only one person working at a time, but reception staff are friendly and helpful and you would be in contact with both the patients and drivers.

The current coordinators are an excellent, supportive team!

What skills do I need?

Good, clear telephone manner, also good hearing, for the answerphone messages!

When do I need to be available?

Details

Most coordinators only take on one session - about 2 hours - on alternate weeks, so this is not a big commitment. They do, however, shift sessions between themselves to cover holidays, illness etc.
