Centre Volunteer

Would you like to give something back to your local community, meet new people or use your skills to support a local charity?

Cobnor Activities Centre Trust is looking for friendly and enthusiastic volunteers to help with a range of activities.

Opportunities could include:

• Site maintenance and gardening
• Marketing and social media
• Fundraising and grant research
• Administration and office support
• Supporting events and community activities
• Photography, design and content creation
• Helping us develop local partnerships

You do not need to have previous volunteering experience. 

Not sure whether volunteering with us is for you? Come along to our friendly Volunteer Open Evening on 22 August, from 6:00pm–8:00pm.

You can meet the team, look around the centre, hear about the different ways you could get involved and ask any questions over a cuppa. There is absolutely no commitment, just come along for an informal chat and see whether Cobnor might be right for you.

What skills do I need?

We welcome people from all backgrounds and with a wide range of skills.

The most important qualities are:

• Friendly, reliable and willing to help
• Enthusiastic about supporting children, young people and the local community
• Comfortable working independently or alongside others
• Willing to share your knowledge, experience or practical skills
• Respectful of our safeguarding, health and safety, and confidentiality requirements

There is no fixed time commitment. Whether you can offer a few hours occasionally or would like to become more regularly involved, we would be delighted to explore what might suit you.
